Yesterday NFL commissioner Roger Goodell removed the conditional tag from the status of Michael Vick and re-instated him for regular season action starting in Week 3. With the news Vick is set to return on September 27, 2009 for a home game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Bruno Boys Take: It was obvious that Goodell wasn’t going to keep Vick suspended until Week 6 and our prediction that they wanted him to make his return in front of the home crowd was correct. There is no definite game-plan drawn up for how Andy Reid will use Vick throughout the season but you should expect it to be similar to what we saw in the preseason. We project Vick to be used behind center, as a wide out and at times in the backfield. When Kordell Stewart first entered the league with the Pittsburgh Steelers he gained the nickname “Slash” for being all over the football field and that could the the ‘09 version of Michael Vick.
