Update: Johnson (knee) did not practice Wednesday, MLive.com reports.

Analysis: It’s not looking like Johnson will be ready to go for Sunday’s matchup with the winless Rams. He’s already missed one game and had a bye week, so there may be a significant injury here.

johnson practiced today. johnson ran drills and caught balls in the portion open to the media and had no visable limp. if nothing flares up he should be good to go, but still gonna be a game time decision, but i for one am so glad hes practicing again.

Update: ESPN reports that coach Jim Schwartz expects Johnson (knee) to start Sunday against the Rams. However, Johnson seems less optimistic about his own chances, MLive.com reports. “Just trying not to overwork it. I don’t want to mess it up more than it is,” Johnson said after Friday’s practice. “It’s a game-time decision.”

Analysis: MLive calls Johnson’s chances of playing Sunday “diminishing” after Johnson’s practice workload decreased from Thursday to Friday. That stands in stark contrast to the optimistic ESPN report, and we don’t expect to have any type of resolution on this one until the inactive list is released on Sunday. Thankfully, the Lions play in the early slate of games, so you’ll have time to adjust your lineup accordingly.
