Are you buying or selling Eric Decker?

Through the first month of the season, Eric Decker’s averaging 9 targets, 5 catches, 67.5 yards and a touchdown per game (only Calvin and Welker have scored more than Decker’s four TDs).

For the rest of the season, Decker will:

A) Continue his WR1 fantasy production
B) Settle in as a fantasy WR2
C) Taper off to WR3/Flex levels
D) Disappear

I can’t imagine that the production will keep up for him, for the sole fact that the QB dilemma in Denver is constant.  No way to know who will be throwing to him (orton, tebow, quinn). Orton did make brandon lloyd the #1 WR in FF last year (or close depending on scoring). so it’s possible.  I’d guess i’d say B is optomistic, and C is the more likely scenario.

All very valid points, m.d. I tend to agree… I think B-/C+ is probably about right.

Ryan… you and I have extensive history with watching Decker as a Gopher, and there’s no question the guy is a complete talent, but I have a feeling his foot issues will haunt him again. One has to love the amount of targets he is getting, but he is IMO nothing more than a flex option, even in my 14-team league…

Silly Sr. You know I don’t watch the Gophers!

You’re right, though. Decker’s an outstanding talent, but the injury history lingers…

I think whether its Tebow or Orton throwing to him, pending injury, erik decker will have a great season. Tebow will take a little bit of time to make a proper relationship with him, but once they do, erik decker will become the biggest threat in their arsenal. Despite Orton’s tendency to throw to decker, I think Tebow throwing to him will be better for his season as I feel better about Tebows talent as a qb when compared to orton. I barely consider quinn in the mix when it comes to the broncos qb situation.

Based on your multiple choice style, I’d lean more towards a solid B than any other.
