Bigspace kicked my butt this week..

He had 5 top 10’s again and I only had 4.
Week 2’s scores are Bigspace -23.  Homey -124.5 He also had McCoy picked in the exact spot he finished…

I will edit the first post and keep total points there…

Yea it was a tough week to predict some of the running backs. I mean look at Mendy… he looked like a lock for 100 and a score, as we discussed Homey, however the line couldn’t open up any holes and Mendy was shutdown. I hope something gives in Pittsburgh because I am starting to think the offensive line is a big factor than I had thought it would be before the season.  My feeling is that the Steelers haven’t hit their stride yet and when that happens Mendy will get it going.

Nice job in the Bruno Boys / DraftStreet.com Week 3 $1,000 salary cap challenge. You finished just ahead of me and cashed in some money.  Hope you enjoy the DraftStreet.com concept and that you dive into playing some head2head matchups once you get the hang of the game. I’m addicted and feel that it allows me to better prepare for all of the work we do on the website each week, while winning some extra cash from time to time!

In Week 4, we are going to run another $350 free roll for our fans like we did in Week 1 and Week 2. Sign-up link will come out tomorrow.

Thanks Marc

You finished 10th so that is not horrible either.. A little extra spending cash for you to play other games with as well..
In my post above I mentioned the FB salary cap game.. I had the 5th highest score this week out of everyone and moved to 64th for the season.. So the cap games were good this week.. My H2H leagues I tanked badly.. Not starting out well in them at all…

I am not sure about the draftstreet format yet.. I guess we will see how the players prices continue to change as the game continues. I do like the weekly contests. But I would love to see a several week version at some point maybe a 4 or 6 week game. Maybe a full season game next year.
I will look around the site a bit more this week and see what other games they have going..If you find something good with room in it. Feel free to send me an invite…

As for Pitt.. I am not sure what their problem is.. The more I watch them play the less I see it as being just 1 single issue.. The O-line needs work for sure but its bigger than that,, The defense is not stellar either.. They are not horrible but I am not scared to play Foster this week against them. The whole team need to get on the same page.. Like you said, they have not hit their stride yet.. Its early and we have a long season yet to play..

Mendy looked like a lock for sure… I was not the only one that had him ranked high.. Almost everyone missed this week… Picking RB’s every week is tough.. Its a lot more to it than just playing your stud… No stud is going to go off every week.. They all have some better weeks and some not so good weeks.. The coaching staff from their team and the opposing team has as much if not more to do with it as their talent does… Take ADP as an example of that.. He had a decent game this week but was it off the charts? No way.. ADP has history against Detroit. He has played a lot of games against them in his career and if you look back he has never had a huge game against them. Even in past years where Detroit’s D. was terrible against the run. He let a lot of owners down. Or maybe was it Detroit know how to stop the beast? Or look at MJD.. Another absolute stud running back in the league.. But for him its his coaching staff that has hurt fantasy owners in the past.. They are the quickest team in the league to trow away the run game if they are behind.. Even if its only 1 TD they are down, they continue to try to force the passing game and forget about the fact they have a world class RB in the backfield.. Fro some reason they want the points now and have no desire to sustain a solid drive down the field.. I saw that a little this week with Pitt. The run was not working so they put it on Ben. Not as much as Jax but still it is getting more common in this league..

Anyway enough rant for a while.. On to start planning my teams for week 4..
