I thought it would be fun to play a little game I call running back challenge.. The game is simple.. I pick the top ten RB’s for week 1 and you try to do better than I do.. The rules are not complicated. So if you think you know football bring it..
Rules: You rank running backs in order 1 through 10. In the order you believe they will finish this week in a standard scoring system. 10 yards (rushing or receiving) = 1 point, 6 points per TD. -1 point for a fumble and -1 point for a fumble lost.
The scoring for this challenge: You get 5 points for every player you pick who finishes in the top 10. You get 5 additional points for every player that you pick in the correct spot. You get 10 bonus points if you pick the top 3 correctly. You get 25 bonus points if you pick the top 5 correctly and you get 50 bonus points if you pick all top ten correctly.. You lose points for every player not it the position you picked them -1 point for every position lower than you had them picked and -.5 points for every position higher than you had them picked.. Max points possible is 150.. Here are some examples.. If you had a player ranked 5th and he finishes 1st you only get 2.5 points for them. If you had a player ranked 5th and he finishes in 25th you get -20 points for him. If a player is injured before half time you will get his points but the limit will be set a -5 max for them. If they start the second half their score counts as an entire game. If you have a player ranked that does not play you will get a zero for them.
All picks must be posted here before kickoff of the first game Sunday. If you rank players from the thursday game they have to be posted before that game starts.
Its simple and fun.. Are you in?

Yep! I’m in. However, you can’t rank them with the caveat, “If healthy.” If you are really flexing your fantasy football knowledge you have to make the pick based on what you know of the players condition….i.e., your best guess. You won’t be able to say, “My other 9 were right if Foster would have played I would have been perfect ” ...just saying.

Yeah I follow you.. I should have removed that.. I just copy pasted my week 1 predictions from my list..
I am leaving him in because I think he has a good chance of starting the game. I know he won’t be 100% no matter what but the matchup is just too good to ignore..
If he doesn’t start then I know the consequences and my total score will be low. I have no chance of any bonus points..
The message is coming from the BB itself.. When I post it says that the post is viewed as potential spam and all content was thrown away.
I copy pasted the results. Thought that was the problem so I re typed everything in a post and got the same message. There were no links in the message I tried to post.
Wondering if there are any characters, amount of spaces or formating that this forum labels as potential spam..
Homey…. please email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and I will go ahead and pass it along to our developer to take a look into this issue further! Thanks for letting me know.

4th Shacker8 -174 and 3 top tens… That Blount pick hurt bad….
If anyone has a better idea on scoring for this game I am open to all suggestions…
Even with all the negative numbers I don’t mind it at all either… I now have some catching up to do..
I will be posting my picks this evening.. Everyone else is free to post their picks any time they like… I am just waiting on some new about a few players before I make my final picks…
For the record I hate F. Jax and the entire Buffalo team… There is no one on that team I would rely on as a every week starter… So don’t think for a second I am a Buffalo lover..
Its just from watching the games this weekend.. I think the Buff Offensive line look decent this year and I really didn’t see anything from the Oakland D that scares me away from RB’s with a decent O. Line. So yeah I think F. Jax will have a good day running against Oakland..
I would also like to note that 5th through about 20 I have real close in numbers.. It looks like a tight group this week.. Not as cut and dry as the top 4 guys..
When I rank players I usually put numbers with them on how I expect them to preform..
I project R. Bush to get 18 points this week then ADP to get 17..
I have F.Jax at 14. But I have CJ at 20th place getting 8 points.. So I have 1 lousy TD separating 15 guys this week.. I feel its going to be a real close week for RB’s.
yea…the more 2 headed monsters that arrive and the more the nfl becomes pass happy, the less we will be able to predict who is going to do better each week
