As many of you noticed when you tried to view Bruno Boys earlier today, our website experienced downtime from 12pm until 8:30pm EST..  Our web host, Media Temple, notified us that our website servers security was being compromised and we opted to immediately shut down the website and address the problem. This was not an attack on our website, just our webservers, so if you have visited our website in the past, or moving forward, you won’t be impacted.

We have spent the majority of the day focused on the security that we can control to make viewing Bruno Boys a great experience for all.  As of 8:30pm EST we are online again and our webservers are fully secure.

Other than not being able to view the website, this breach did not impact any users of the website (since we do not capture sensitive personal information of our site users).

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and we appreciate your patience as we successfully restored Bruno Boys your viewing pleasure

Without getting too technical, the problem stemmed from an error in our database that prevented users from being active on the website (primarily the message board). Luckily, this problem did not hinder anyone’s ability to read the content.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the patience of the Bruno Boys Nation while we updated our database and servers to prevent outages moving forward.
