The 2018 NFL season is eight weeks old and the time is now to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire running backs for Week 9.

Aaron Jones, RB, Green Bay Packers

Order seemed to come in the Packers’ running back rotation in Week 8, as Jones finished with 12 carries for 86 yards and a touchdown along with two catches. Jamaal Williams vultured a touchdown, but had just four carries in the game and kickoff returner extraordonaire Ty Montgomery had three touches.

A couple good matchups are coming for Jones in the next two weeks against the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins, followed by tougher matchups against the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings in Week 11 and Week 12. But then it gets softer again, with the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons on the slate for Week 13 and Week 14.

Jones has surely rendered all threats to a lead role irrelevant, but who knows with Mike McCarthy. That said, Jones should be added wherever he’s available without question.
