The 2018 NFL season is six weeks old and the time is now to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire running backs for Week 7.

Peyton Barber, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After being rendered irrelevant (and droppable in fantasy leagues) over the previous two games, Barber had 13 carries for 82 yards along with four catches for 24 yards and a touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6. For at least one week, whatever looming threat of Ronald Jones is (four touches) was put aside.

A tougher matchup is coming in Week 7, but the Cleveland Browns have allowed multiple touchdowns to a running back in three of their six games and they’ve now allowed 4.7 yards per carry to the position.

Barber will have to wait until Week 11 (New York Giants) and Week 12 (San Francisco 49ers) to see a particularly favorable matchup. But he appears to be back in a prominent role for a good offense, and finding RB2 potential in all leagues is next to impossible at this stage of the season.
