Jalen Richard, RB, Oakland Raiders

Richard isn’t getting much work as a runner, with just nine carries all season. But he had six catches for 53 yards against the Chargers in Week 5, and he has at least five targets in four of five games this season with at least six catches and over 50 yards three times.

Richard is not built to be an every down back, at 5-foot-8 and 205 pounds, but his passing down role in Oakland’s backfield is unchecked and he has averaged 5.4 yards per carry over two-plus seasons.

In deeper PPR leagues, Richard has been a rosterable and usable (if unpredictable) player for a few weeks now. If Marshawn Lynch were to ever be injured, a slightly bigger overall role would be in store. But for now, if you’re looking for a running back with any sort of relevance, Richard is worth a stash in all leagues and he’s on the radar as a RB3 or flex in PPR formats.
