Mike Davis, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Even with Chris Carson active and productive (127 total yards), Davis still had 12 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown along with two catches for seven yards against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Over the last two games, Davis has averaged 5.1 yards per carry with three touchdowns on the ground.

The Seahawks’ running back rotation is unpredictable, but Carson and Davis appear to be the top two with rookie Rashaad Penny now an irrelevant third wheel.

Around a Week 7 post-London game bye, the Seahawks will face the Oakland Raiders (Week 6) and the Detroit Lions (Week 8). Both entered Week 5 in the bottom-12 of the league against running backs (ESPN PPR scoring), while allowing at least 5.7 yards per carry. So even with Carson as a proverbial lead dog, there’s room for Davis to produce too.

As shown in Week 4, out of nowhere, Davis is only a Carson injury away from a workhorse role (21 carries for 101 yards). A running back with a pulse is always some degree of fantasy relevant, but Davis is starting to push past that point.
