The 2018 NFL season is just five weeks old and while many might think it’s premature to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire, they are wrong. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire Quarterbacks for Week 6.

Mitch Trubisky, QB, Chicago Bears

Trubisky went into a Week 5 bye on an incredibly high note, with 354 yards and six touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4. Matchups don’t get better than that, as Tampa Bay has allowed the most fantasy points to quarterbacks, but Trubisky could carry that confidence into the rest of the season.

From Week 6-Week 12, Trubisky has what looks like a slate of matchups that will cap his upside. But the Miami Dolphins (Week 6), New England Patriots (Week 7), New York Jets (Week 8), Buffalo Bills (Week 9), Detroit Lions (Week 10 and Week 12) and Minnesota Vikings (Week 11) have all shown vulnerability in the secondary, and the Bears have the weapons around Trubisky to take advantage.

Trubisky is not quite a sure-fire QB1 for fantasy owners, but he is a solid add as a QB2/bye week fill-in in 12-team leagues with a bye week already in his rearview mirror.
