Blake Bortles, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Bortles went 29-for-40 for 388 yards with two touchdowns and an interception Sunday against the New York Jets, along with 28 rushing yards. The first four games have been a microcosm of what he is, with 331 combined passing yards in two games and over 375 yards in the other two, but Bortles would have to have a massive face-plant to avoid a good game in Week 5.

The Kansas City Chiefs came into Week 4 allowing the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks (30.1 per game, ESPN scoring), with multiple passing touchdowns allowed in all three of their games and over 400 passing yards twice. Case Keenum’s results Monday night might make Kansas City the worst fantasy defense against quarterbacks on Tuesday morning.

Bortles’ matchups up to to after a Week 9 bye (Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts) look to be middle of the road at best, but through bye weeks he could be a functional fill-in and a starting option in two-quarterback leagues. Strictly for Week 5 though, Bortles is a high-end streaming option.
