The 2018 NFL season is just three weeks old and while many might think it’s premature to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire, they are wrong. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire tight ends for Week 4.

Benjamin Watson, TE, New Orleans Saints

After tallying three catches for just 19 yards in Week 2, Watson rebounded solidly with five receptions for 71 yards (on six targets) against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3. He still doesn’t have a touchdown this year, but he has at least four targets in all three games.

Watson is down the pecking order in the Saints’ passing game, with Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara at the top and everyone else taking what’s left through three games. But the 37-year old is making the most of his opportunities, with an 80 percent catch rate while averaging 11.2 yards per catch so far this year.

Watson’s ownership rates have dropped recently, surely on he heels of that dismal Week 2. But more than eight PPR points in two of three games so far is practically TE1 territory right now, and Watson is there for the adding in a lot of leagues.
