Tyler Boyd, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

After three catches for 26 yards in Week 1, Boyd exploded for six catches (on nine targets) for 91 yards and a touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2. Any talk of John Ross emerging as a worthy No. 2 receiver to A.J. Green can be set aside, if not put to bed.

Boyd had some value in PPR leagues as a rookie in 2016 (54 receptions), but he was a forgotten man last year (22 catches in 10 games).

A couple tough matchups are coming in Week 3 (Carolina Panthers and Week 4 (Atlanta Falcons). But after that things loosen up for Boyd and the Bengals passing game against the Miami Dolphins (Week 5), Pittsburgh Steelers (Week 6), Kansas City Chiefs (Week 7) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Week 8).

Owners in deeper PPR leagues should have Boyd on their radar. He’s probably not startable in either of the next two weeks, but he’s shaping up to be an asset when bye weeks really ramp up.
