Aaron Jones, RB, Green Bay Packers
Jamaal Williams had a solid outing against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, with 71 total yards on 19 touches. But his window to clearly seize the starting role is closed now, as Jones gets set to return from a two-game suspension.
Over a four-game stretch in a lead role last year, Jones averaged 15.5 carries and 86.5 rushing yards per game with two 100-yard games over that span and a touchdown in three of the four. But a knee injury in Week 10 derailed him late in the season, and opened the door for Williams to produce.
Jones’ return clouds the Packers’ backfield rotation. But any piece of a good offense, provided Aaron Rodgers remains healthy enough to play, is on the fantasy radar. Jones’ ownership is edging upward in anticipation of his return, but he should be rostered in 12 and 14-team standard scoring leagues
