O.J. Howard, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Howard three catches for 96 yards with a 75-yard touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2. But perhaps most importantly, fellow tight end Cameron Brate had zero targets in the game and does not have a catch yet this season.

Howard has only been targeted six times over two games himself, but he has snagged five of those looks for 150 yards. Now he’ll get the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3, who gave up seven catches for 109 yards and two touchdowns to Travis Kelce in Week 2. Howard is not on the same level as Kelce, but he’s got a hot quarterback and the Steelers are burnable in the secondary.

Howard seems to already be rendering Brate irrelevant in Tampa Bay’s proverbial tight end duo. That makes him a worth addition to fantasy rosters, no matter who is under center for the Buccaneers in the short or long-term.
