Jesse James, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers

James had five receptions for 138 yards and a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, and he now has five targets and at least 60 yards in both games this season. Vance McDonald’s season debut in Week 2 (three catches for 26 yards) made little difference for James.

A decent matchup is coming for James against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3, as Zach Ertz tallied 11 catches for 94 yards against them in Week 2 and backup Josh Perkins put up four receptions for 57 yards. Even with McDonald back healthy to take away some targets, James should be in what would qualify as the lead role.

James is hard to rely on as a weekly TE1. But he’s a good streaming option for Week 3 in a good matchup, with the prospect of a big role in a good offense if he continues to produce.
