The 2018 NFL season is just two weeks old and while many might think it’s premature to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire, they are wrong. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire tight ends for Week 3.

Eric Ebron, TE, Indianapolis Colts

His catch and yardage totals dropped compared to Week 1 (three for 26 yards), but Ebron had a touchdown catch for the second time in as many games against the Washington Redskins the target gap between he and Jack Doyle narrowed significantly.

The Colts get the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3, who got burned for a long touchdown by Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard in Week 2 on his way to 96 yards on three catches. Philadelphia will get Carson Wentz back on Sunday, so plenty of passing is in line to come from Indianapolis as they try to keep pace rather than nurse a second half lead.

It would be nice to see more target volume from Ebron, but as long as Jack Doyle is healthy a fairly equal split is here to stay. But Ebron is one who’s catching touchdowns, so he’s the preferred add for fantasy owners in 12-team leagues.
