Phillip Lindsay, RB, Denver Broncos
Fellow rookie Royce Freeman was named the Broncos’ starting running back as Week 1 approached. But an even carry split with Lindsay came to be on Sunday against the Seahawks, with matching rushing lines to boot (15 carries for 71 yards). Lindsay did differentiate himself with two catches for 31 yards and a touchdown.
Devontae Booker is also lingering in Denver’s running back rotation, with four touches on Sunday. But Lindsay appears set to run as the No. 2 back, and push himself into a potential timeshare with Freeman.
Ideally, we’d see a little more from Lindsay before declaring him worthy of a roster spot in fantasy leagues. But if you’re in a league of 12 teams or more, a running back with a pulse is worth a long look on your fantasy football waiver wire even after only one game.
