Curtis Samuel, WR, Carolina Panthers
The Panthers lost their fifth straight game in Week 14, but Samuel continued his emergence with four receptions (on eight targets) for 80 yards against the Cleveland Browns. After scoring in three of four games prior to that, he has 19 targets over the last two games.
The New Orleans Saints entered Week 14 allowing the most fantasy points to wide receivers (ESPN PPR scoring), and Samuel gets two matchups against them from here on out (Week 15 and Week 17). In the middle of those is a Week 16 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, who have been better lately but are still in the bottom half of the league against wide receivers (with multiple touchdowns allowed to the position in two of their last three contests).
Samuel has been no less than a solid WR3 in PPR leagues for most of the last several weeks. He’s just now getting noticed, but the second-year man out of Ohio State is in line to continue being a difference maker for fantasy owners.
