Drew Lock, QB, Denver Broncos
Lock was excellent in his first NFL road start in Week 14, as he completed 22 of 27 passes for 309 yards with three touchdowns and an interception against the Houston Texans. In two starts, he has five touchdown passes with a completion rate just shy of 73 percent as he’s averaging 8.1 yards per attempt. The Broncos may have found a quarterback, and fantasy owners may have a solid rest of season option.
Denver’s final three opponents, the Kansas City Chiefs (Week 15), Detroit Lions (Week 16 and Oakland Raiders (Week 17), all entered Week 14 in the bottom-12 of the league in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks (Yahoo! scoring). The Lions and Raiders sat in the the bottom-10 entering last week.
Lock is on the streaming radar in two-quarterback leagues from here on out, and if you’re in a keeper league this might be the time to get ahead of the curve and consider adding him.
