Gardner Minshew, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Minshew didn’t do much against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, finishing with 162 yards and a touchdown while adding 31 rushing yards. But in Week 15 and Week 16, under the assumption he keeps the starting job, it’s about as good as it gets for a quarterback.

The Oakland Raiders entered Week 14 allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks (Yahoo! scoring). Since their Week 6 bye, six of eight quarterbacks have topped 19 fantasy points against the Raiders. Then in Week 16 Minshew gets the Atlanta Falcons, who went into Week 14 allowing the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. The Falcons have allowed at least 287 yards through the air in four of their last five games.

If Week 17 matters in your league, the Indianapolis Colts entered Week 14 in the top-half of the league against quarterbacks but are trending the wrong way in terms of passing yardage allowed.

In the fairly unlikely event Minshew is put back on the bench, Nick Foles (15 percent owned on Yahoo!, 13.9 percent owned on ESPN) is worth mentioning with those two very favorable matchups coming. Whoever starts under center for the Jaguars is an option in two-quarterback leagues for Week 15 and Week 16.
