Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys

Prescott didn’t look good for three quarters against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14, but in the fourth quarter and overtime an Amari Cooper-aided explosion led to him finishing 42 of 54 for a career-high 455 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He has now gone over 25 fantasy points (Yahoo! scoring) in two of the last three games.

A recent up-and-down trend points to a down game for Prescott in Week 15. But the Indianapolis Colts have allowed at least 17.6 fantasy points (ESPN scoring) to a quarterback four times in their last six games, with Marcus Mariota/Blaine Gabbert and Cody Kessler as the exceptions. Prescott has generally needed a rushing score to register good fantasy days, and Indianapolis has allowed three rushing scores to quarterbacks this year.

Prescott gets another good matchup in Week 16 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who entered Week 14 allowing the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. They have allowed multiple passing touchdowns in nine of 13 games this year, with multiple touchdowns allowed to a quarterback 10 times.

Prescott takes too many sacks and fumbles too much. But he’s got a couple more good matchups coming, and fantasy owners have to take notice on him as a low-end QB1 who’s still available in close to half of leagues.
