Baker Mayfield, QB, Cleveland Browns

Mayfield’s streak of games with multiple passing touchdowns ended on Sunday against the Houston Texans, with one touchdown and three interceptions. But he did throw for 397 yards in the game, and Week 14 brings a good opportunity for some sort of rebound.

The Carolina Panthers entered Week 13 allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks (ESPN scoring), the Jameis Winston threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns while adding 48 rushing yards on Sunday. The Panthers have now allowed multiple passing touchdowns in all but two games this season.

A tougher matchup is coming against the Denver Broncos in Week 15, but they lost top cornerback Chris Harris to a broken leg on Sunday. Then Mayfield gets the Cincinnati Bengals (Week 16) and Baltimore Ravens (Week 17) to round out the schedule. He had four touchdown passes against the Bengals in Week 12, and he threw for 342 yards against the Ravens back in Week 5.

If nothing else, Mayfield will remain a solid streamer from here on out. But optimism says he’s no worse than a low-end QB1 in 12 and 14-team leagues in each of the next three or four weeks.
