Courtland Sutton, WR, Denver Broncos
Sutton only had one catch for 14 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12, and he has gone without a touchdown in four straight games. But stay with me.
In Week 13 the Broncos face the Cincinnati Bengals, who entered Week 12 allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers (ESPN PPR scoring). Then more good matchups are coming against the San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders.
Prior to Week 12, Sutton had more than 55 yards in four out of five games. Catch volume has been a thing, but the season-ending absence of tight end Jeff Heuerman (ribs/lung) stands to open up some opportunities for others.
Sutton has substantial boom-or-bust potential on a weekly basis, but a closing run of good matchups puts a multi-week upswing on the radar. He’s worth adding as a WR4 in deep standard leagues.
