Jameis Winston, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Winston got the starting gig back for Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, and he delivered 302 yards and two touchdowns along with 24 rushing yards. But perhaps most importantly, Tampa Bay won the game and Winston did not turn the ball over. His starting status for Week 13 should be a formality ahead of a good matchup.
The Carolina Panthers entered Week 12 in the bottom-10 of the league against quarterbacks (ESPN scoring). After Russell Wilson posted 339 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday, they’ve now allowed multiple passing touchdowns in seven of their last eight games with over 300 passing yards allowed in two of their last three contests.
Week 14 also brings a favorable matchup, as the New Orleans Saints have allowed multiple passing touchdowns and at least 284 yards through the air in four of their last six games. Assuming Winston keeps the starting job, things will get tougher in Week 15 (Baltimore Ravens) and Week 16 (Dallas Cowboys).
For at least Week 13, and probably Week 14 unless he puts up a dreadful performance, Winston will be a top quarterback streamer and a top-notch QB2 in two-quarterback formats.
