Josh Adams, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles were thoroughly dominated by the New Orleans Saints in Week 11. But Adams was a bright spot with seven carries for 53 yards and the team’s only touchdown, along with three catches for 19 yards. Over the last three games, he’s averaging precisely 7.0 yards per carry, so there’s no reason he shouldn’t continue to operate as the lead back.
Adams will get a favorable matchup against the New York Giants in Week 12, followed by tougher-looking matchups against the Washington Redskins (Week 13) and Dallas Cowboys (Week 14). Then a nice matchup will come against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 15, followed by another tougher matchup against the Houston Texans in Week 16.
Adams is hard to see as a league-winning fantasy add, shy of a couple good matchups, unless the Eagles find their way offensively quickly. But his upside has been put on display, and he should be rostered in far more leagues than he is.
