Jameis Winston, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay’s quarterback turnstile ramped up again in Week 11, as Ryan Fitzpatrick threw three interceptions and gave way to Winston. He looked good in orchestrating a seemingly weekly comeback for the Buccaneers, going 12-for-16 for 199 yards and two touchdowns (with one interception), and Winston has been confirmed as the starter in Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers went into their Week 11 bye allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season (ESPN scoring), with multiple passing touchdowns allowed in four of the previous five games and in eight of their 10 games overall.

A benching could always be around the corner for Winston, due in equal parts to erratic play and the financial ramifications Tampa Bay would be locked into for 2019 if he gets hurt. But he’s getting the start in a nice matchup this week, which makes him a streaming option and a good QB2 in two-quarterback leagues.

If Winston manages to keep the starting job, three of the Buccaneers’ final five opponents (Carolina Panthers-Week 13, New Orleans Saints-Week 14, Atlanta Falcons-Week 17) entered Week 11 in bottom-five of the league in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks (ESPN scoring).
