The 2018 NFL season is nine weeks old and time is running out to start picking up people from your fantasy football waiver wire. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.
Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire tight ends for Week 10.
Ben Watson, TE, New Orleans Saints
After putting up a doughnut in Week 9, driven somewhat by Drew Brees hardly throwing, Watson rebounded with 62 yards on three catches and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams. He has scored in two of his last three games, and he’s lined up to succeed again in Week 10.
Entering their bye in Week 9, the Cincinnati Bengals were allowing the second-most fantasy points per game (tied, ESPN PPR scoring), the most catches, the most yards and tied for the most touchdowns to tight ends. Quite frankly, there’s not a better matchup for a tight end.
Watson is not in a high-volume role, but over the next three weeks the Saints’ offense is in line to be opened up like it was against the Rams. So Watson is looking like a high-end streamer, if not a low-end TE1, as fantasy owners look to secure a playoff spot.
