Baker Mayfield, QB, Cleveland Browns
Mayfield finally took full advantage of a favorable matchup on Sunday, going 29-for-42 for 297 yards with two touchdowns and an interception against the Kansas City Chiefs. He has completed over 60 percent of his passes with multiple passing touchdowns in three straight games, and he’s a good bet to make it four in a row in Week 10.
The Atlanta Falcons have allowed one touchdown through the air in each of their last two games, but they’ve still allowed over 300 passing yards in three straight games and in six of their last seven contests. Their offense forces opposing signal callers into volume (40 or more pass attempts in five of their last seven games), but the Falcons have still been generous to the passing game.
The change in offensive coordinator, or more importantly the removal of whatever discord Hue Jackson and Todd Haley had, seems to have helped Mayfield. On each side of his Week 11 bye, Week 10 against the Falcons and Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals, the 2017 Heisman Trophy winner should push toward QB1 territory for fantasy owners.
