Theo Riddick, RB, Detroit Lions

Riddick returned from a knee injury on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, and finished with a team-high receptions (on a tied for team-high eight targets) for 36 yards. He didn’t get a carry in the game, but with Golden Tate gone via after a trade to the Philadelphia Eagles Riddick essentially functioned as Detroit’s third receiver.
The immediate schedule is not promising for Riddick or the Lions’ running backs, with the Chicago Bears on the slate twice over the next three weeks and the Carolina Panthers in between. But things get easier after that, with the Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals and Buffalo Bills coming from Week 13-15.

The idea Riddick would is step right into the prominent role vacated by Tate came to fruition on Sunday. There’s a case for him being immune to tough matchups against defenses that have been tough on running backs, like what’s coming from Week 10-12, but as it is Riddick is a worth consideration as an add in PPR leagues with 12 or more teams.
