The 2018 NFL season is nine weeks old and the time is now to start picking up people from their fantasy football waiver wire. Every year a no name blows up in Week 1 and ends up being a top-20 fantasy football player over the remainder of the season. So, instead of letting your competition beat you to the punch, use your fantasy football waiver wire to find the next big thing.

Let’s get things started by taking a look at some fantasy football waiver wire running backs for Week 10.

Mike Davis, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Chris Carson entered Week 9 questionable with a hip injury, then a thigh issue sidelined him for the game against the Los Angeles Chargers after the first drive of the second half. Davis stepped in nicely though, with 15 carries for 62 yards while adding seven receptions for 45 yards.

Carson’s health is a question going forward, and rookie Rashaad Penny was not a big factor against the Chargers (seven touches). So Davis is set to operate in a prominent role, if not as the lead back, in a Seahawks’ offense that has tilted back toward the run. Add in some good-looking matchups, against the Los Angeles Rams (Week 10), Green Bay Packers (Week 11), San Francisco 49ers (Week 13 and Week 15), Kansas City Chiefs (Week 16) and Arizona Cardinals (Week 17), and Davis is lined up to be a weekly flex option down the stretch.

Week 9’s passing game usage might be an aberration, and Carson’s presence would cloud things. But Davis is a running back who’s back on an upward trend ahead of some nice matchups, so he’s a practical must-add in standard scoring leagues.
