Christian Kirk, WR, Arizona Cardinals
Going into a Week 9 bye, Kirk tallied 20 targets in his previous three games with over 50 receiving yards and/or a touchdown in five of six contests. A new offensive coordinator for the Cardinals helped things in Week 8, so Kirk is in line to keep his good trend going.
From Week 10-Week 15 only the Detroit Lions (Week 14) looks like a tough matchup for Kirk, and even they had allowed multiple wide receiver touchdowns in three straight games prior to Week 9. The Kansas City Chiefs (Week 10), Oakland Raiders (Week 11), Los Angeles Chargers (Week 12), Green Bay Packers (Week 13) and Atlanta Falcons (Week 15) entered Week 9 no better than mid-pack against wide receivers (ESPN PPR scoring). Even Week 16 looks pretty good, as the Los Angeles Rams have struggled against the pass.
With his bye behind him, Kirk can be added without too much concern. As a WR3/WR4 in 12 and 14-team leagues, with some tilt toward standard scoring, there’s nice upside here.
