Adrian Peterson, RB, Washington Redskins
Peterson had 16 carries for 66 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, with a touchdown in a third straight game. Perhaps most notably, he added three catches for 25 yards with Derrius Guice (knee) out of the mix.
Purely having so much of Washington’s backfield work is enough to make Peterson worth a look in Week 16. But the New York Giants are also a bottom-half of the league fantasy defense against running backs, so 20-25 touches should yield nice production.
In the wake of Guice’s latest knee injury, Peterson’s ownership rates got a boost again last week. But he needs to be owned in more leagues at this point, as a volume-based RB2 with weekly potential for a touchdown. A sneaky passing game role may bolster his value in PPR formats from here on out too.
