Week 14 is nearly complete, as the playoffs may already be set to roll on for some fantasy football owners while the season is clearly over for others. For those who earned a first-round bye, or in leagues that use Week 17, the playoffs will start in Week 15.
Here are nine early must-adds off your Week 15 fantasy football waiver wire.
Rashaad Penny, RB, Seattle Seahawks
As of this writing, Penny has yet to play Sunday night against the Los Angeles Rams. But he had 29 carries for 203 yards over his previous two games, with a touchdown on the ground in each and notable involvement as a pass catcher (four catches and a touchdown on five targets) in Week 13.
The matchup against the Rams is middle of the road, but Week 15 and Week 16 are prime spots for an opposing running back. The Carolina Panthers entered Week 14 allowing the most fantasy points to running backs (Yahoo! 0.5-point PPR scoring), while the Cardinals entered the week allowing the 10th-most fantasy points to the position.
Chris Carson is not going away, barring injury or a more severe case of the fumbles. But Penny is going well right now, and he’s under-owned along with being set to deliver low-end RB2 value in 12 and 14-team leagues during the fantasy playoffs.
