DeAndre Washington, RB, Oakland Raiders
Josh Jacobs (shoulder) was a fairly last scratch for Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans, and and idea of an equal workload split in his stead went by the wayside as Washington had 96 total yards on 20 touches (14 carries, six catches) and a rushing touchdown while Jalen Richard had 46 yards on nine touches.
Jacobs has apparently been playing with a fractured shoulder since Week 7, and more missed time may be coming. If that’s the case, Week 15 and Week 16 matchups against the bottom-10 fantasy defenses against running backs (entering Week 14; Yahoo! 0.5-point PPR scoring) of the Los Angeles Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars are promising for Washington.
Washington is a bit of a speculative add in leagues with 12 or more teams. But at this stage of the season finding real running back upside on the waiver wire is difficult (if not impossible), and if Jacobs remains out or winds up limited Washington has RB2 upside over the rest of the fantasy playoffs in leagues that go through Week 16.
