James Washington, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
Washington had four catches for 111 yards and a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. He appears immune to the Steelers’ quarterback issues, scoring in three of his last four games with at least 69 yards or a touchdown in four of his last five. He’s in position to keep it going in Week 14.
The Arizona Cardinals were allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers (Yahoo! 0.5-point PPR scoring). An individual receiver (and sometimes multiple receivers) have reached 80 yards or scored a touchdown against them in every game this season (including last Sunday against the Rams).
After a very tough matchup in Week 15 against the Buffalo Bills, Washington will get another favorable matchup in Week 16 against the New York Jets (10th-most fantasy points allowed to wide receivers; Yahoo! 0.5-point PPR scoring).
The status of JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee, concussion) will be an ongoing question. But Washington is in line for a prominent role anyway, with two nice matchups in the next three weeks to put him on the WR3 radar (with upside) in 12-team leagues.
