Zach Pascal, WR, Indianapolis Colts
T.Y. Hilton (calf) missed another game Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, Perris Campbell (hand) was also inactive and Chester Rogers left with a knee injury. So after a catchless game in Week 12, the door was wide open for Pascal and he finished with seven receptions for 109 yards (on 10 targets).
Hilton’s weekly status feels like a coin-flip proposition, while Campbell may miss at least another game and Rogers’ status is unclear after he was unable to return on Sunday. So Pascal is in a prime spot for Week 14.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers entered Week 13 allowing the most fantasy points to wide receivers, but a healthy margin and regardless of scoring format. If Pascal is in line to be the No. 1 wide receiver next Sunday, and he’ll almost certainly be the healthiest of the bunch anyway, it’s an unrivaled high-floor, high-ceiling matchup.
A couple more good matchups are coming in Week 15 and Week 16, with the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers each entering Week 13 in the bottom-12 of the league against wide receivers (Yahoo! 0.5-point PPR scoring).
Be sure to monitor the status of Indianapolis’ injured wide receivers, but Pascal is in line to be the No. 1 wide receiver plug-and-play for Week 14 for those who are so inclined. Beyond that, he looks like a viable WR3 in 12 and 14-team leagues depending on the health situation around him. As speculative adds go, to the degree he is one, Pascal has a chance to pay off big-time in the fantasy playoffs.
