WEEK 8 PICK THEM UP: QB | RB | WR | TE | K | DEF
The seventh week of NFL games is over and the waiver wire as active as ever which is a good thing as we hit the middle of the bye weeks. This week in particular presents some quality waiver options at quarterback, running back and tight end. A majority of the waiver wire adds we recommend this week are the same ones we recommended last week which goes to show just how useful this article can be for getting the jump on potential adds. Be sure to check your waivers for the “Carryovers from Last Week” because in most cases those guys hold the most value.
Quick Note: Not all players that had strong Week 7 outings are on this list, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have value. If you have any questions about free agents not discussed in this article, head over to the forums and we’ll help you with the answers. If you are wondering who to cut to pick these one of these players up, stay tuned for our Week 8 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Cut List.
TIGHT ENDS—PICK THEM UP
Dustin Keller, TE, New York Jets
Dustin Keller finally looked fully recovered this week after being nagged by an injury all year. He caught all seven of the balls thrown to him for 93 yards and a touchdown. He should be solid from here on out because he is currently the most trusted receiver on a team hurting desperately in that area. Keller should be in line for some of the most productive games of his career this year. He’ll receive a ton of targets and be relied on heavily by Mark Sanchez.
Keller faces a rough stretch of matchups in the coming weeks but he should still be a solid play from here on out. He’s worth owning in all formats as a low end TE1, which is about where he is every year. Keller may even end up better than that. He makes an excellent backup and potential starter so grab him if he is out there. Keller is currently available in 69% of FleaFlicker leagues.

Martellus Bennett, TE, New York Giants
This week Martellus Bennet looked completely recovered from the knee injury that had been nagging him the past few games. He caught five of the seven passes thrown his way for 79 yards. Eli Manning once again started looking his way often when faced with pressure. When healthy, Bennett has been targeted plenty and racked up both yardage and touchdowns. Bennett should get back to where he left off, which was top five tight end territory earlier in the year.
Bennett has some average matchups coming up the next few weeks but should be started as normal unless he has a setback. He was dropped in a few of the deeper leagues and is available in 23% of FleaFlicker leagues right now. Grab him now to add a solid weekly tight end or flex play to your roster.
Consider Adding In: 10-team, 12-team and 14-team Leagues; especially in TD-heavy formats
