Colt McCoy (Cleveland Browns) @ San Francisco
Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy is coming off his worst performance of the season. He threw for just 178 yards with no touchdowns and one interception, and that came against a weak Seattle Seahawks defense. In that game McCoy and the Browns struggled to move the ball all game. It’s possibly they could find the same trouble doing that this week against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers are 11th in the league in total yards allowed per game and second in points allowed per game. San Francisco has given up just four passing touchdowns in the last four games, and coming off a bye week the 49ers have had two weeks to prepare for McCoy and the Browns.

Alex Smith (San Francisco 49ers) vs. Cleveland
Unless you skipped past the introduction you know we’re not too fond of Smith this week. Smith’s numbers on the season - 63.3 completion percentage, eight touchdowns, two interceptions - are the best he’s put up. It’s clear new coach Jim Harbaugh has gotten through to Smith in a way no previous coach was able to. However, this week’s matchup with the Cleveland Browns is a bad one for Smith. The Browns are allowing an average of just 9.5 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks, and in their last two games they haven’t given up a passing touchdown while forcing six turnovers from quarterbacks. Cleveland has forced at least one turnover from a quarterback in every game this season, and have only given up more than one touchdown pass in two games. Like last week’s win over the Seahawks, the Browns will muck this game up and that’s going to make it hard for Smith to produce at a level worth fantasy consideration.
