WEEK 7 PICK THEM UP: QB | RB | WR | TE | K | DEF
The sixth week of NFL games is over and the waiver wire is finally showing some fresh faces again at all the positions except for tight end. This week in particular presents a great opportunity to snag a long term starter at wide receiver. Bye week fill-ins at quarterback are numerous and as usual, more running backs got injured this week thereby vaulting their backups into fantasy football relevance. A majority of the waiver wire adds we recommend this week are the same ones we recommended last week which goes to show just how useful this article can be for getting the jump on potential adds. Be sure to check your waivers for the “Carryovers from Last Week” because in most cases those guys hold the most value. Stay tuned for the cut list we publish every week so you know who you can safely drop.
Quick Note: Not all players that had strong Week 6 outings are on this list, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have value. If you have any questions about free agents not discussed in this article, head over to the forums and we’ll help you with the answers. If you are wondering who to cut to pick these one of these players up, stay tuned for our Week 7 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Cut List.
TIGHT ENDS—PICK THEM UP
Brandon Myers, TE, Oakland Raiders
Brandon Myers isn’t likely to ever be an elite option at tight end but he is nothing if not consistent. He has at least four catches and 55 yards in all but one game this season. He had five receptions for 62 yards on seven targets this week. He’s not going to win a weekly matchup for you but he isn’t going to lose it either and that’s exactly what you want out of a bye week fill-in.
Myers has a rough matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week so don’t get too excited about him as a fill in. The good news is that matchup doesn’t seem to affect Myers’ production very much. Myers tends to see about 7 targets a game and makes the most of a high percentage of them. He’s pretty much universally available so grab him if you need him.
Consider Adding In: 10-team, 12-team and 14-team Leagues; especially in PPR formats as a bye week fill-in

Heath Miller, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
Here’s hoping someone in your league was dumb enough to drop Heath Miller after his touchdown-free week. Miller should be 100% owned and he’s still available in 26% of FleaFlicker leagues. If he’s available scoop him up even if you already have a solid starting tight end. He has two good matchups in a row and will likely be great trade bait down the road.
Consider Adding In: 10-team, 12-team and 14-team Leagues
Carryovers from Last Week: Heath Miller (Pittsburgh Steelers), Fred Davis (Washington Redskins), Scott Chandler (Buffalo Bills), Kyle Rudolph (Minnesota Vikings), Jermaine Gresham (Cincinnati Bengals), Joel Dreessen (Denver Broncos)
Tight End Watch List: Mercedes Lewis (Jacksonville Jaguars), Dwayne Allen (Indianapolis Colts), Anthony Fasano (Miami Dolphins), Zach Miller (Seattle Seahawks), Dustin Keller (New York Jets), Tony Scheffler (Detroit Lions)
