The fourth week of NFL games is over and the waiver wire is looking surprisingly dry for the first time this season. Nevertheless, there is still some value out there for those that have the roster space. A majority of the fantasy football waiver wire adds we recommend this week are the same ones we recommended last week, which goes to show just how useful this article can be for getting the jump on potential adds.
Be sure to check out our “Carryovers from Last Week” section because in most cases those guys hold the most value.
Quick Note: Not all players that had strong Week 4 outings are on this list, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have value. If you have any questions about free agents not discussed in this article, head over to the forums and we’ll help you with the answers. If you are wondering who to cut to pick these one of these players up, stay tuned for our Week 5Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Cut List.
TEAM DEFENSE—PICK THEM UP
Minnesota Vikings DST
The Vikings Defense has been on fire so far this year. They have played good teams and still scored plenty of points. The Vikings have allowed just 18 points and 315 yards per game. They are also averaging three sacks and a turnover per game. Even more beneficial is having Percy Harvin returning kicks. The Vikings had two return touchdowns this week against the Detroit Lions and the threat is always present.
This week they face a Tennessee Titans offense that might be missing Jake Locker and even with him has averaged barely 300 yards per game. Somewhere Jared Allen is licking his lips. You should be too since the Vikings DST is available in 89% of Fleaflicker leagues. Grab them while you can and take advantage of their hot streak, and the matchups.
