WEEK 4 PICK THEM UP:  QB  |  RB  |  WR  |  TE  |  K  |  DEF

The third week of NFL games are over and it presented some crazy situations. With so many overtime and last second wins it’s clear that this going to be a very competitive season. As usual several players stood out. This week’s waivers are particularly full of running back talent (because of injuries) and light on wide receiver and quarterback value. The tight end position continues to be the deepest this year.

Several players we recommended last week also did well. We have added them at the bottom of each section as “Carryovers from Last Week” if they are still widely available. In most cases they should have priority over the others. Stay tuned for the cut list we publish every week so you know who you can safely drop.

Quick Note: Not all players that had strong Week 3 outings are on this list, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have value. If you have any questions about free agents not discussed in this article, head over to the forums and we’ll help you with the answers. If you are wondering who to cut to pick these one of these players up, stay tuned for our Week 4 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Cut List.

RUNNING BACKS—PICK THEM UP

Mikel Leshoure, RB, Detroit Lions

The Lions said they were going to feature Leshoure this week and they weren’t lying. He had 30 touches to Kevin Smith’s zero. More importantly, he did plenty with those touches. He plowed his way for 134 yards and a touchdown. He averaged just shy of four yards per carry on the ground and made several first down conversions. An injury to Mathew Stafford might lead to him getting a similar load in Week 4.

Leshoure has a tough matchup against a stout Viking run defense but his ability in the passing game makes him still playable. He’s worth hanging onto for later in the season. All signs point to him being the top waiver add this week so make sure you put him at the top of the list (even over Andre Brown). He’s available in 42% of FleaFlicker leagues currently but should be almost universally owned come next week.
