WEEK 4 PICK THEM UP:  QB  |  RB  |  WR  |  TE  |  K  |  DEF

The third week of NFL games are over and it presented some crazy situations. With so many overtime and last second wins it’s clear that this going to be a very competitive season. As usual several players stood out. This week’s waivers are particularly full of running back talent (because of injuries) and light on wide receiver and quarterback value. The tight end position continues to be the deepest this year.

Several players we recommended last week also did well. We have added them at the bottom of each section as “Carryovers from Last Week” if they are still widely available. In most cases they should have priority over the others. Stay tuned for the cut list we publish every week so you know who you can safely drop.

Quick Note: Not all players that had strong Week 3 outings are on this list, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have value. If you have any questions about free agents not discussed in this article, head over to the forums and we’ll help you with the answers. If you are wondering who to cut to pick these one of these players up, stay tuned for our Week 4 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Cut List.

KICKERS—PICK THEM UP

Blair Walsh, K, Minnesota Vikings

Walsh has been a very consistent play so far this season, scoring no less than eight points against easy or tough opponents. He is currently averaging almost 12 fantasy football points per game and the Vikings offense shows no sign of slowing down. The offense is prone to stalling however, which makes Walsh that much more valuable. He has a juicy matchup against the Detroit Lions this week who have given up well over 10 fantasy points per game to opposing kickers. Rob Bironas alone had five field goal attempts against them this week, and this game has the makings of a high scoring one, which benefits the rookie kicker in Week 4.

Since divisional matchups are typically even lower scoring, you can expect Walsh to be in a kicker contest with Jason Hanson. Walsh makes a good spot play but he also even looks playable for the rest of the season..(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) so grab him after waivers because he will likely be there.

Consider Adding In: 12-team and 14-team Leagues

Kicker Watch List: Ryan Succop (Kansas City Chiefs), Greg Zuerlein (St. Louis Rams), Lawrence Tynes (New York Giants), Matt Prater (Denver Broncos)
