WEEK 3 PICK THEM UP:  QB  |  RB  |  WR  |  TE  |  K  |  DEF

After the second week of games we are getting a better idea who the reliable fantasy football producers are going to be. A lot of them are still on the waiver wire. We hope you didn’t get hit by the injury bugs going around but in case you did, here’s a list of potential replacements that are available in at least 25% of Fleaflicker leagues. If you read up last week you will notice that some of these players were on last week’s list. Take this as an extra vote of confidence for those players. Without further ado, here are the week three most desirable waiver additions.

Quick Note: Not all players that had strong Week 2 outings are on this list, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have value. If you have any questions about free agents not discussed in this article, head over to the forums and we’ll help you with the answers. If you are wondering who to cut to pick these one of these players up, stay tuned for our Week 3 Waiver Wire Cut List.

WIDE RECEIVERS PICK THEM UP

Danny Amendola, WR, St. Louis Rams

It’s amazing that after our poignant article last week Amendola is still available in 53% of Fleaflicker leagues. He is and will forever remain the Rams number one target. As we pointed out last week his yards per catch were and continue to be well above his career average of eight yards per catch. Bradford looks better than ever and he had an absolutely massive game passing to Amendola this week. They connected on 15 of 16 throws for 160 yards and a touchdown. If you are playing in a PPR league and Amendola is available, grab him now. At this point he is a middle of the road WR2 in PPR formats and he even adds return yardage. He’s amassed 25 targets in two weeks and has caught 20 of them This week he faces a Bears defense allowing plenty of short catches over the middle which should bode well for Amendola. Bradford has realized that he is the most reliable option in the offense. Why not make him a reliable option in your fantasy offense?

Kendall Wright, WR, Tennessee Titans

Despite his limited statline this week (2 receptions for 24 yards and a TD) Wright makes our waiver add list. The key thing to look at when determining his long term value is his target numbers. So far this season he leads the Titans with 14 targets. Though he’s only caught a few of those balls (mostly Locker’s fault) he continues to be targeted more and more. At some point this season Wright will break out. Until then he makes a good WR4 in PPR leagues and a nice bench stash in deeper leagues. Next weak he’ll have a chance to do some really damage against an injured Lions’ secondary. He could be a great spot play if you need him.

Consider Adding In:  12-team and 14-team Leagues especially in PPR formats

Brandon Lafell, WR, Carolina Panthers

Last week Lafell’s three receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown looked like a fluke. This week’s six reception for 90 yards were not. Lafell now has 13 targets in two weeks and they aren’t short safe throws. He’s averaging over 17 yards per catch. He even added a 25 yard rush this week. Lafell has evolved into a perfect complement to Steve Smith and the duo is looking like it will create matchup troubles all season. Clearly the Panthers want him involved in their offense and so you should want him involved in yours. Surprisingly he’s available in 49% of Fleaflicker leagues. The Panthers have an outstanding matchup this week against an ailing Giants’ secondary that is currently the second worst fantasy defense against wide receivers this season. He could be an excellent WR3/flex caliber option for teams with injury issues this week.
