Surprise, surprise: Brett Favre may not be ready to call it quits for good just yet.
ESPN Chicago is reporting the oft-retired quarterback “would listen” if the Chicago Bears contacted him about taking over for the remainder of the season. The report cites sources close to the legendary QB.
Favre has left the game on two separate occasions, only to come back each time.
The report goes on to say that the Bears haven't contacted Favre, and likely won't.
Favre appeared in 13 games with the Minnesota Vikings last season, throwing for 2,509 yards with 11 touchdowns and 19 interceptions in 13 games. The 42-year-old has reportedly remained in game shape but hasn't received any offers from NFL teams.
