Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz will be relieved of his duties at the conclusion of the season, ESPN's Adam Schefter and the Chicago Sun-Times reported on Sunday.
Martz's contract expires at the end of the campaign - and the team isn't interested in issuing another one.
The pass-heavy system hasn't worked according to plan as the beleaguered offensive line has failed to protect quarterback Jay Cutler, who is currently injured.
As for Martz, he has been connected to head coaching vacancies at Arizona State and UCLA.
