The Washington Redskins signed quarterback Rex Grossman to a one-year contract Saturday.
Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
Grossman started 13 games for the Redskins and threw for 3,151 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and 20 interceptions.
Grossman will compete for the starting job with Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III in training camp, assuming he' s selected by Washington with the second overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
