Oakland Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski was ordered Wednesday to attend anger management and substance abuse classes stemming from an alleged incident in which a shoved a woman in September 2010.
Janikowski must perform 30 hours or anger management and substance abuse classes and another 30 hours of community service.
A judge in Walnut Creek, Calif., ordered that Janikowski stay away from Syrena Nicholson, who alleged that “did willfully and unlawfully use force and violence upon (her) person” on Sept. 24, 2010.
Nicholson filed her charges after the fact, which is why no arrest was made at the time.
Janikowski was charged with misdemeanor battery and false imprisonment, but prosecutors agreed to drop the false imprisonment count.
If Janikowski abides by the court orders and stays out of trouble for the next 12 months, the battery charge against him will also be dropped.
