Injuries to keep Tebow out of Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow will have to skip next month's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

Tebow won't be able to tee it up due to injuries sustained in Denver's 45-10 playoff loss to New England on Jan. 14.

Tebow tore cartilage in his ribs, bruised a lung and had fluid build up in his chest.

“Due to the injuries, it looks like he's a no-go,” tournament director Steve Worthy told the Monterey Herald.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is expected to compete in the event, as is Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who will be paired with Tiger Woods.
